So you have a website; however, you still do not have the results you would like to see. There is not enough traffic coming to you. You may be getting enough traffic, but what is the traffic to sales conversion for that traffic. Why is this? Why is your website not producing the results you want? Well, simply put, you need to make the website work for you because just putting it up for your business is not enough.

1. Navigation. Easy navigation is important on your webside. First thing to remember is that when you a a potential buyer always make sure they are able to find the exact thing they are looking for when they need it. If you make your visitors hunt for anything, you can be sure that they will get frustrated easily and give up, which means you have just lost a potential sale. Therefore, be sure that all the pages of your website are linked together with easy navigation throughout.

2. Professionalism. Professionalism has to shout from your website. It must appear as professionally designed and work as such. Clean, crisp and appealing is what your graphics should be.

3. Lure Traffic. Try using advertising tricks which really help, like AdWords, AdSense, pay per click and others like them. These are great methods of getting targeted traffic. Targeted traffic is crucial. Should you have a business which involves cake decorating, you’ll want those interested in cake decoration, confections, and all of the other aspects of it. This website would not be useful to someone looking for pet food. It is always good to get traffic on your website, however, it is not useful if the traffic is not from your target audience.

4. Sales. Increase your likability in order to increase your sales. Because of this, you will need your guests and visitors to trust you. Clearly displaying your privacy policy, terms and conditions statement and guarantee will achieve this.

5. Build Your Customer Database. You can get contact information of your potential customers to ultimately turn them into paying customers by offering them something for free.
