A company that hires game testers to test video games could use a few marketing methods in order to bring more customers to their Internet website.
A video game tester is someone who takes video games before they are mass marketed and tests them out to make sure there are no glitches or problems so that there is a smooth opening on the day the video goes public. Video games are like movies and DVDs, they are released on a special date and there is a lot of publicity and anticipation built up around their release. The gaming manufacturers want to make sure everything is perfect for the games major release, that’s why they hire several game testers to make sure everything is going smoothly at every step of the way in the production of the video games. To become game tester one needs to look through the Internet or on video game sites where they announce gamers wanted and the pay is very good for those who have a lot of experience playing video games. However, they sometimes do take inexperienced gamers for a new perspective on the newer video games.
One of the best marketing methods any company could use in order to attract more customers is search engine optimization or SEO. Search engine optimization is the act of placing keyword rich articles on a website in order to draw the attention of the three major search engines – MSN, Yahoo!, and Google – toward the website and the keywords or keyword phrases. The major search engines send out “feelers” in order to find the keywords and keyword phrases and then rank the websites according to a special formula. Keywords or keyword phrases are the words people use in the search boxes on the search engines in order to find what they need or want. For example, if someone is looking for sun tanning lotion, they would put these words in the search boxes on the search engines and a list would come back listing suntan lotions and the first few listings would be the ones with the majority of the keywords or keyword density according to the special formula.
Many people choose from the first few listings on the search engines rather than search through page after page of listings for whatever it is they are searching for. This is why it is very important to have the proper combination of keywords and keyword phrases in order to have a high ranking on the search engine pages.
Video game manufacturers could reach more possible video game testers through Internet marketing methods with a website that targets younger people and uses search engine optimization.
