Professional Poker Player Management Uses Internet to Reach More Customers

A professional poker player management company could gain more poker players to represent by using several Internet marketing methods, but first they would need an Internet presence in the form of a website.

 

Many businesses are supplementing their real-world brick-and-mortar location with a website because more and more people are turning to the Internet to search for what they want or need.  The phonebook is an obsolete way of finding a business because it only offers a phone number to call for more information; newspapers and magazines only offer slightly more information than the phonebook, and radio and television advertisements are usually reserved for big budget productions of major brands.

 

One of the best-known marketing methods a website could use its search engine optimization or SEO.  Search engine optimization is placing keyword rich articles on a website in order to attract the three major search engines – MSN, Yahoo!, and Google.  These three major search engines send out their “feelers” so that they might locate the keywords and keyword phrases within the articles and among the websites and then rank the websites according to a special formula.  The major search engines are the only ones who know what the special formula is; however the special formula does have to do with the amount of keywords and keyword phrases on a website.  Keywords and keyword phrases are the words potential customers use in the search boxes on the search engines in order to find what they are looking for.

 

Blogging is another important marketing a poker agents could employ in order to reach more customers.  Placing a blog on their way site in order to blog at the latest tournaments or an upcoming tournament will have more people viewing the website and reading the blogs and perhaps signing up to be represented by poker agents if they feel they are good enough poker players to be represented by agents.  

 

Through blogging and search engine optimization, a poker management company and poker agents could reach more targeted customers and potential customers to their real-world business through their website.
