Washington, DC Cosmetic Dentist’s Help Rural Communities Set up Dental Shop
Numerous rural communities are in urgent need of oral health – anything from teeth whitening DC to teeth pulling and custom false teeth made – care centers for their community dental needs.
Many communities are now building ‘health commons’ which are enhanced sites that are community-based primary care ‘safety nets’ that practice a wide variety of medical needs including behavioral health and oral health services. Triumphant intercession necessitates is an inclusive approach that include enhancing dental service capability, expansion of the scope of dental skills of those dentists already located within the area, increasing the pool of dental providers, in addition to developing a more comprehensive oral health policy.
But uninsured and underinsured populations will increase their visits for dental work, no matter what it is, if they are provided with the proper health care building or community in which to seek a solution to their dental problems.
Currently access to oral health services for low income adults and their families is poor and becoming worse especially in this economy. Employers of low income workers do not offer dental insurance benefits and if it is offered, the employee portion of the premium is not affordable for the employee because they make less than 200% of the federal poverty level.
A Washington, DC cosmetic dentist could join other dentist in rural areas to help recruit young or new dental practitioners to communities that are lacking dental health programs.
By increasing access to dental services and mental health professionals in rural areas, many low income families, especially those with children, will benefit from overall better health which translates to happier, more well-adjusted family’s in addition to a lower rate of sick days called in by the employee for the employer. A healthier, happier family also helps to make a community stronger, with less violence and more pride in their community’s youth which is the future of all communities.
By working with the Department of Dental Health and dental students, a rural community could have dental programs they desperately need to stay healthy and happy without it costing them a fortune for good dental hygiene.
