Parents Teach Children Using Custom Cookie Cutters

Parents are always looking for an opportunity to teach their children without having them sit in a chair, behind a desk with an open book in front of them like at school when they’re learning.  There are always opportunities to teach your children something new whether it’s a lesson in money and finance or a lesson in manners and respect because these things come up in every day life over and over again.

One place to teach children is in the kitchen while spending a day baking cookies together.  Using food is a great motivator for learning and all types of learning experiences.  There are United States cookie cutters that will help make a game out of learning the different United States shapes and for the little bit older child, the capitals and something interesting about each of these states.

Depending on the age and maturity level of your child or children, they may be able to do more than simply mix the ingredients, roll out the dough and cut the cookies with the cookie cutters.  Children as young as six years of age can read the numbers on the oven and with adult supervision could turn the dial to the numbers needed to preheat the oven.

Ordering custom cookie cutters if you want to teach your child something special about your line of work, like government work, theater work or travel, would be an excellent idea in helping them understand what mommy or daddy does through the use of cookies and cookie cutters.
