The Photoshop plug-ins which are available can help perform tasks much faster and more efficiently than performing these tasks by hand. The 3D plug-ins are used to create 3D images and type very quickly and elegantly. The color management Photoshop plug-ins can create new colors to correspond to the printer that you are using, or the monitor that you are using to create your graphics. The digital asset management plug-ins are used to organize all of the digital images that you have created so that finding the correct image is much easier than without it. The photographic ones give many different professional lens techniques that you can apply to any picture to create amazing effects. The basic idea is to either copy the Background Layer and make any adjustment directly to it (color adjustments, sharpening, bluring, contrast, exposure, etc.) or make that alteration in an adjustment layer. Once you’ve made the adjusted layer (either using a duplicated layer or a true adjustment layer) then Go Overboard!! I mean it, allow yourself to go way sharp, way blurry, way magenta, way saturated, whatever you’re doing, do it more than needed.
Besides their trusty camera digital photographers need a full cache of arsenal. RoboImport will Import your photographs and rename your photos with appropriate descriptive names into a specially designated directory to be easily located when needing to access them latter. RoboImport will do much more than less respected picture management program by performing some of the more tedious but necessary digital image editing tasks without the usual fuss. It is not expected that digital image downloader software should rename your photos, RoboImport does this and more.
Sometimes, clear lines that separate the images in the panorama may appear. It is possible to blend the lines so that they disappear. Select the Advance Blending option located at the right of the Photomerge window, then select Preview. Inconsistencies in color will be calculated by the program. At this point, the images will blend together. Photoshop will combine all the individual images for your panoramic into a single layer. If you select the Keep as Layers option it is easier to edit each image individually. This is a great help if one of the images is brighter or darker then the other images. You can select that image in layers and adjust the brightness for just that image. It is a good idea to save the layers as a .psd file so that you can always come back and correct any mistakes or make any changes later. It’s a real pain to have to redo everything from scratch just if you made a mistake or want to change something later. You can also distort the pictures so that the scene will look like it is in perspective. Choose the Perspective option on the bottom of Settings. You can also do this by choosing Set Vanishing Point in the Photomerge window, then click to an area in the panorama.
When it comes to image post-production, Photoshop has given professionals and amateurs a magic wand with which to alter and improve images. Since the advent of digital photography in the 90s, Photoshop has been the standard with which photographers improve finished photo quality. Photoshop is also changing the art scene, allowing artists to create original pieces or artwork using program tools. Photoshop artwork has appeared in books, comic books, architecture designs and more notably, in special-effect films. Photoshop has become so popular that the word ‘photoshopping’ has already ingrained itself in our vocabulary. Photoshopping has actually made careers, fed media frenzy, made paparazzis happy and changed the way we see things, often literally. In pop culture, Photoshop in becomingly increasingly prevalent, appearing in almost every other photo for image-hungry consumers to devour. The irony is, Photoshop is so popular that images have to appear that they haven’t undergone tweaking in order to be declared as Photoshop-perfect.
Many people have have created add-ons and tools for photoshop elements that will allow it to use some of these features. Photoshop Elements also offers some features that are not available in Photoshop such as the cookie cutter tool, drop in frames, backgrounds, and artwork, an automatic red eye removal, Quick Fix mode, and the Photo Organizer. The Photo Organizer (only in the Windows version of Photoshop Elements 3 and up) lets you organize your photos with tags, then search and share them. The Organizer also offers several types of creations for sharing your photos in slide shows, video CDs, cards, email, calendars, Web galleries, and photo books. So, if your just a home user or hobbyist, you may want to think twice about purchasing Photoshop CS. Photoshop Elements may have all the power and tools neccessary for what you require. And you’ll save about $500 too!
When you are working on a picture you will find that you need a specific color from one area of the picture to also be on a different area. Photoshop has a handy tool made exactly for this, it is called the eyedropper tool. When you use the eyedropper tool then you can even pick up a color not only from the image opened in the Photoshop’s workspace but from other applications too. Look at the picture below. We reduced the size of the Photoshop window. We want to pick up the color of the sky from a photo on a web-page (Internet Explorer). This makes the eyedropper a very handy tool for what you will need in other applications or simple inside photoshop.
Artistic and other creative effects can be applied to all or parts of a digital image using filters. Filters are part of many image editing programs. Filters effects can make a photo look like a oil painting, water colour or pencil sketch. Add a canvas, burlap or other textured background if you would like. There are filters to blur, sharpen, distort and add or remove noise
